The Giorgetti universe welcomes year by year new visions and contributions that enrich its path and give new interpretations of the company’s manufacturing and cultural heritage.
With the 2022 collection, Giorgetti begins a prestigious collaboration with Dante O. Benini and Luca Gonzo presenting G-CODE DESK.
The executive desk is the first element of an entire G-CODE collection, signed by the two architects. The project focuses on the well-being of the individual as a user, combining form and function, aesthetics and technology in a single symphony.
G-Code Desk comes to light from an architectural approach: “The concept started from a journey in the United States, where in a pochette they gave me there was a brush, the kind that closes. I took a mental tour and imagined that it could become the structure on which a top rests. The idea was that of an architecture, with this brush becoming the supporting beam of a large plane.”  Dante O. Benini explains.

“It is like a model of architecture: there is a double height, there are terraces, there is a roof that flies with fluctuations, there are transparencies and volumes that open up. It has a visual strength, but at the same time elegant and sober, precisely because it has perspectives and lines, it has voids and it also has light”  adds Luca Gonzo.

With an important presence and great aesthetic impact, G-Code Desk is the result of construction techniques that represent the synthesis of a sensitivity and attention to details developed over 124 years of history.
The desk is characterised by a walnut structure and an interplay of solids and voids, thanks to the central part composed of 158 metal rods, in three different diameters and hand-painted in three different colours pewter, bronze and brushed champagne, which support the top and lighten and refine its design, as well as the top with the scarp edges.
Available in wood or marble, the sculptural top features a leather-covered desk pad in the centre with two eyelets. Characterised by a special conical section, they accompany the cable outlet and connect with the passage for cables linked to an inspectionable area hidden in the centre of the structure to enclose the cabling, which lights up when opened.
G-Code Desk is a project in which nothing is left to chance and is characterised by a wealth of details. The drawer handle is an aluminium extrusion, with a lock-like shape, which is painted and covered in leather. The drawer on the left, available with a safety lock, consists of an upper leather top and a compartment, an illuminated and electrified lower space with electrical and mains sockets to accommodate a small printer, for example, but also books and binders. The top drawer on the right, on the other hand, is divided to hold small desk accessories. There are two other drawers. The desk also includes a series of electrical sockets.

A proposal of great elegance that focuses on functionality to meet all the needs of a comfortable and multitasking workstation. A timeless object designed for a large executive office as well as a prestigious home with ample space dedicated to home working.
