Giuno designed by Calvi Brambilla for Zanotta |
Zanotta, the leading Italian brand of radical design, presented this year on occasion of the Milan Design Week the new Giuno armchair, designed by Milanese studio Calvi Brambilla.
Fully upholstered in fabric, the Giuno armchair offers great comfort thanks to its enveloping seat with a hint of an armrest, making it particularly comfortable as a dining chair.
The version with a rotating base adds an element of practicality without compromising the purity of form.
In terms of construction, Giuno features a steel frame that guarantees strength and durability.
The frame is padded with self-extinguishing polyurethane foam, a material that offers safety as well as comfort.
The seat cushion is filled with regenerated and regenerable polyester spheres, an environmentally friendly option that enhances comfort. Finally, the fabric cover is completely removable.
“Since we started collaborating with Zanotta in 2014, we find ourselves in the joy of making new and beautiful things. The context has changed a lot over the years, but our passion has never waned. On the contrary, over time, new opportunities have opened up, and we are very proud to be part of the growth and renewal process that the company is experiencing. Collaborating with Zanotta is a privilege and a constant source of inspiration for us, and we are excited to continue contributing to the creation of iconic designs and the craftsmanship excellence that characterises Zanotta.” – Paolo Brambilla and Fabio Calvi, Calvi Brambilla

ABOUT CALVI BRAMBILLA
Since 2006 Fabio Calvi and Paolo Brambilla have been working together, concentrating their activity mainly on interior, exhibition, and product design.
The method is the one assimilated by the great masters of Italian design, capable of working at different scales, giving life to projects permeated by subtle irony but always founded on solid functionality.
In a creative panorama in which trends lead to uniformity of aesthetic sense, the personality of the Calvi Brambilla studio always expresses itself by surprise, placing storytelling at the centre and communicating with maximum effectiveness.
The studio’s work has been recognised by several awards, including first prize in the Interni Cassina LC50 competition in 2015; the Good Design Award in 2017 and 2019; the German Design Award in 2019 and 2020; and the Salone del Mobile Milano Award (with the Flos stand at Euroluce 2017). calvibrambilla.it
