A new voice in contemporary furniture design is set to make its debut at Milan Design Week 2025. Fico, a brand that merges craftsmanship, heritage, and modern aesthetics, will unveil its first collection at MoscaPartners Variations, held at the historic Palazzo Litta from April 7 to 13, 2025.
Fico offers a fresh and considered approach to high-end furniture, presenting pieces that balance artistic expression with functionality.
The debut collection will feature a carefully curated selection of furniture, including a side table, armchair, sofa, chairs, stools, an ottoman, and screen room dividers. With a strong emphasis on quality materials and precision craftsmanship, Fico brings together contemporary design principles with global artisanal traditions, ensuring each piece reflects both heritage and modernity.
The brand is founded by Rayana Hossain, a Harvard-educated entrepreneur and policy advocate dedicated to evolving Bangladesh’s design and manufacturing landscape. With a deep appreciation for innovation and tradition, she has worked to refine and modernise artisanal techniques while maintaining their cultural significance in contemporary design.
Fico is not a standalone brand; rather, it joins the renowned brand Isho as part of the larger Dekko Isho Group, which has a legacy spanning over 70 years. This affiliation strengthens Fico’s position within a network of design-driven companies committed to quality, craftsmanship, and innovation in the furniture industry.
“We are excited to introduce Fico at Milan Design Week 2025,” said Rayana Hossain. “Our aim is to create furniture that is not only elegant and thoughtfully designed but also brings a sense of playfulness and joy. By blending heritage with contemporary innovation, we hope to offer pieces that resonate on both an artistic and functional level. MoscaPartners Variations at Palazzo Litta provides the ideal setting to share our debut collection with the world.”
MoscaPartners Variations at Palazzo Litta has long been a platform for creative exchange, bringing together designers, architects, and industry leaders from across the globe.
This year, Fico will present its inaugural collection alongside an esteemed selection of international design brands, offering visitors a first look at its distinctive approach to furniture. With an emphasis on craftsmanship and storytelling, Fico’s showcase will introduce a new perspective to the world of contemporary luxury furniture.

A Harvard-educated expert in architecture and landscape design, she is committed to sustainability, heritage preservation, and industry reform.
After studying at the University of Toronto and earning a Master’s in Landscape Architecture from Harvard University, she recognised the transformative power of design beyond aesthetics—shaping economies, addressing societal needs, and fostering innovation.

She is also collaborating with universities to introduce formal product design education, ensuring the next generation is equipped for global competition.
Passionate about preserving Bangladesh’s artisanal traditions, she works with craftspeople to modernise techniques and create economic opportunities.
Through her leadership in manufacturing, design, and advocacy, Hossain is positioning Bangladesh as a key player in global design while inspiring a new wave of innovators.
