Dopo la presentazione al MAXXI di Roma nel 2024, Galleria Gaburro porta a Milano Oltretutto, il progetto di Danilo Bucchi in cui vengono esplorati nuovi linguaggi per approdare a una sintesi in cui i ritratti fotografici, eseguiti dall’artista romano, sono accostati ai disegni degli stessi soggetti.
La mostra, curata da Achille Bonito Oliva, sarà presentata negli spazi di via Cerva 25 mercoledì 11 giugno a partire dalle ore 18.30, insieme a un nuovo grande lavoro inedito che racchiude la genesi del progetto.
Oltretutto è un’antologia intima di ritratti di gente comune, scrittori, registi, attori, stilisti, musicisti, curatori, direttori di musei incontrati per le strade di Roma, Milano, Berlino, Parigi, New York e Tokyo.
Un libro di volti con cui l’artista invita lo spettatore a guardare oltre l’immagine, oltre il visibile, oltre-tutto. Al suo interno, nomi come Enrico Bartolini, Alessandro Borghi, Silvia Calderoni, Carolyn Christov-Bakargiev, Anthony Grant, Emma Marrone, Alessandro Michele, Ferzan Ozpetek, Diane Pernet, Bartolomeo Pietromarchi, Claudio Santamaria, Jerome Sans, Riccardo Scamarcio, Virginia Raffaele, Emanuele Trevi… e tanti altri.

After the presentation at MAXXI in Rome in 2024, Galleria Gaburro brings to Milan Oltretutto, the project by Danilo Bucchi in which he explores new languages in order to arrive to a synthesis of photographic portraits, shot by the Roman artist, placed next to the drawings made by the subjects themselves.
The exhibition, curated by Achille Bonito Oliva, will be presented at the spaces of via Cerva 25 on Wednesday June 11th from 6.30 pm, together with a brand new artwork, containing the genesis of the project.
It is also an intimate anthology of portraits of ordinary people, writers, directors, actors, designers, musicians, curators, museum directors met on the streets of Rome, Milan, Berlin, Paris, New York and Tokyo.
A book of faces in which the artist invites the viewer to look beyond the image, beyond the visible, beyond everything.
Inside the book there are the photographic portraits of Enrico Bartolini, Alessandro Borghi, Silvia Calderoni, Carolyn Christov-Bakargiev, Anthony Grant, Emma Marrone, Alessandro Michele, Ferzan Ozpetek, Diane Pernet, Bartolomeo Pietromarchi, Claudio Santamaria, Jerome Sans, Riccardo Scamarcio, Virginia Raffaele, Emanuele Trevi… just to name a few.
