AD AQUAM continues a fruitful collaboration between academia and industry, showcasing the results of this shared path. Once again, Rubinetterie Treemme is bringing to Design Week a selection of projects developed by students from the Politecnico di Milano Design System, including those from our Specializing Master in Industrial Design & Engineering. The installation is one of the highlights of MATERIAE, the exhibition promoted by INTERNI that will take place in the courtyards of the University of Milan from April 20 to 30.
Yesterday ,April 24th at the Aula del Consiglio Academico was held the presentation of the third edition of the project of the workshop AD Aquam 2026.
This project is part of the INTERNI MATERIAE exhibition held at the Milan University courtyards (Via Festa del Perdono 7) from April 20-30, 2026
Curated by Studio Q‑Bic, AD AQUAM 2026 – REFLECTIONS, focuses on water as a primary material, exploring its fragility and social value. The projects on display were created during a workshop promoted by the leading company in the bathroom furnishings sector. They address both environmental issues, focusing on reducing water consumption, and social ones, promoting accessibility for vulnerable users. In line with the concept of the exhibition, the installation looks at the technical and experimental value of materials as well as the importance of multidisciplinary dialogue, creating an experience that goes beyond exhibition design and becomes a shared cultural act.
Exchange of ideas and perspectives were the heart of the talk “Ad Aquam 26”, that took place , as already mentioned, in the Aula del Consiglio Accademico , at the Festa del Perdono campus, on April 24 at 11:00.
Matteo Ingaramo (Scientific Director of the Specializing Master in Interior Design & Engineering), Federico Elli (Lecturer – Politecnico di Milano), Emanuel Pacelli (Lecturer – POLI.design), and Eugenia Chiara (Lecturer – POLI.design) will discuss the relationship between university and industry in project‑based research on the theme of water, exploring resource efficiency and innovation.
