Following the success of the inaugural 2025 awards, the Luxury Childcare Association (LCA), is once again inviting families, guests, and industry leaders to have their say on who is leading the way in family travel by voting in the 2026 LCA Awards.
Designed to recognise the over 70 LCA members that are redefining luxury family travel, from groundbreaking childcare design to unforgettable family experiences, each category highlights the values at the heart of the LCA – professionalism, safety, fun and inspiring care for children in extraordinary destinations. The awards launched last year and winners included illustrious properties Domes of Corfu, Stella Hotels Collection, Atlantis the Palm, Soneva Jani and Columbia Beach Resort.
With voting opening in September, the awards have five categories, carefully curated by the LCA leadership team to recognise the areas that most meaningfully shape the family guest experience, from childcare facilities to the specific needs of younger guests. Categories include:
-
Excellence in Sustainable Childcare, honouring a resort-wide commitment to eco-conscious childcare through nature-based learning, sustainability, and environmental stewardship.
-
Excellence in Children’s Programming, recognising creative, engaging activity programmes that spark imagination and create meaningful experiences for young guests.
-
Excellence in Family Experiences, celebrating outstanding, end-to-end family experiences, thoughtfully created to support families of all ages.
-
Excellence in Childcare Facilities, awarded to the property that sets the benchmark in immersive, child-centric design, seamlessly blending aesthetics, safety and functionality.
-
Excellence in Baby & Toddler Care, recognising a resort-wide commitment to the comfort, wellbeing, and development of babies and toddlers, through age-appropriate experiences that support the youngest guests throughout their stay.
The awards provide member properties with a valuable platform to showcase the teams, facilities and programmes behind their family offering, while recognising the expertise and innovation driving excellence across the sector.
For winning properties, the awards offer more than industry recognition. Winners will receive a personalised award plaque and digital winner’s badge, alongside dedicated promotion across LCA’s website, social media channels and official communications. Winners will also be featured in an exclusive newsletter reaching the LCA’s global database of more than 80,000 families, giving properties valuable visibility among a highly relevant audience of luxury family travellers.
The 2026 LCA Awards follow the recent news that the LCA launched its brand-new Family Membership, designed to further connect hotel members to families by offering access to exclusive benefits, privileged offers, and trusted family-focused experiences across participating LCA hotels to LCA Family Members, in turn creating a new direct engagement channel between luxury family hotels and highly qualified family travellers. Together, the two initiatives give LCA members new opportunities to demonstrate their childcare credentials, increase visibility and build stronger relationships with families actively seeking trusted childcare when choosing their next holiday.
Launched in May 2025 by the Worldwide Kids team, the LCA has grown rapidly, attracting an impressive line-up of luxury member properties, from the Domes Resorts properties, Hotel Royal Evian, LUX* Hotels & Resorts, and Ella Resorts. Membership is awarded only to properties that complete the LCA’s specialist training programmes, meet the requirements of an annual audit, and show a clear commitment to enhancing the family experience by upholding Worldwide Kids’ standards of childcare excellence.
Voting for the LCA Awards 2026 opens on Monday 7th September and closes at midnight (GMT+2) on Monday 12th October 2026. Winners will be announced on 26th October 2026. To learn more about the awards and vote, visit https://
